The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod This is the web site of Emmaus’ national church body, or Synod (Synod = “walk together”). Here you’ll find answers to your questions about the Lutheran Church as we walk together.  The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) is a denomination that confesses the historic, orthodox Christian faith, a faith built on “the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone” (Eph. 2:20).

The Ohio District of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod The Ohio District assists its congregations to fulfill the Great Commission in ways that are faithful to Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions through:

>Healthy partnerships among congregations, District, and Synod.                                   The Ohio District comprises of the state of Ohio, the state of West Virginia, and the eastern part of the state of Kentucky east of the OH-IN state boundary.  Rev. Lutheran Women’s Missionary League Emmaus has a very active women’s missionary league (Emmaus LWML), and you will find information about how they positively impact Christian mission and ministry locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally on this web site.

Ohio District Youth Ministry gathers Jr. High (6-8 grade) and Sr. High (High School) aged youth from all over the district and has corporate District-wide events.  Every three years the Ohio District gathers the youth together to collectively attend the National Youth Gathering

Bethesda Lutheran Communities Emmaus’ LWML is providing a variety of cards to Bethesda with birthday greetings, get well cards, and notes for thinking of you.  Bethesda provides people with intellectual and developmental disabilities with home, career, education and faith to live full and empowering lives.

Helping Appalachian Rural People (HARP) HARP’s mission is to serve people who seek self-sufficiency, coming alongside them with spiritual, emotional and material support as they move toward independence.  Special focus is in the areas of the Ohio District (Ohio, West Virginia, and eastern Kentucky) that have the highest poverty rates.

Orphan Grain Train Orphan Grain Train is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Christian volunteer network that shares personal and material resources with needy people in America and around the world. Grain Train volunteers gather donations of clothing, medical supplies, food, Christian literature, and other aid to meet real needs. The Orphan Grain Train movement is a loving response to Jesus Christ’s example as a servant and His love for us.

Lutheran Hour Ministries Lutheran Hour Ministries is a Christian outreach ministry supporting churches worldwide. Wauseon Chamber of Commerce Emmaus is a member of the Wauseon Chamber of Commerce. Since 1956 the Wauseon Chamber has been a source of information and business referrals for Wauseon and the greater Fulton County area. The mission of the Wauseon Chamber of Commerce is to promote economic growth and business development in the Wauseon area by providing meaningful services for its membership and helping to sustain a high quality of life within the community.

Camp Lutherhaven Camp Lutherhaven is a year-round outdoor ministry center dedicated to creating adventurous, fun, faith-building experiences for people of all ages.
